I’m a little behind with the times with this product but I love it so much that it deserves a review! I have seen so many people using the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Edit palette and I was persuaded to purchase it after all this time as after the original hype calmed down, YouTubers are still using the product in their makeup tutorials.
This palette contains six separate powders including three setting powders, two blushes and one bronzer separated nicely by the beautiful packaging. The powders are housed in a classy gold reflective compact which contains a good-sized and useful mirror. One downside to the packaging is that it gets covered, and I mean covered in finger prints.
The powders contained in the palette are:
- Dim Light: This is a neutral shade, beige with a tinge of bronze colouring. It is sheer in coverage and is used to blur any imperfections. I have used this as a bronzer base and to set concealer on blemishes in my contour area. It has a lovely reflective finish.
- Iridescent Light: This pearlesdant pink tone of this powder is stunning, making the skin glow lightly with a pink sheen. This would make a subtle highlighter for every day use.
- Diffused Light: This is a white yellow powder that I use to set my under eye concealer and all over my face.
- Mood Exposure: This blush is a deeper plum colour than the other blusher in the palette. It is a mixture of shades giving the skin a glow.
- Luminous Flush: A pink glowing blush which will let your cheeks glow naturally all day. This also has a mixture of tones.
- Luminous Bronze Light: This bronzer is a shade which will suit most skin tones, including my porcelain skin. It blends beautifully giving a summery glow which is delicate and not sparkly…just perfect!
You will be sick or hearing the word ‘glow’ in this post but each powder has a beautiful glow on the skin which is so subtile and effective. I find setting my concealer with this gives life to my face which most powders normally make overly matte and dry-looking.
Unlike other highlighting products, this makes the skin look naturally youthful and healthy instead of an obvious glow.
Overall I absolutely love this palette even with its steep price tag of £65. I definitely will repurchase however I’m hoping this palette will last a long time!
What are your favourite hourglass products? Any recommendations for me?

Lovely post! This palette is gorgeous! From Hourglass, I really like their Ambient Lighting palette (the one that has three highlight powders) and I am in LOVE with their Mineral Veil Primer. It’s my absolute holy grail primer. 🙂

So pretty! I wonder if they have this in darker shades. I’m unsure if this will show up on my skin tone at all 😁 but it looks so beautiful! I’ve rele been loving the glowy look lately

I don’t think they have this exact palette in darker shades but I’m sure the would have a good range to buy separately xx
