August Favourites

August has been a busy month including a week in the South of Spain to relax.  Here are this month’s favourites!

1. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara

I don’t think I have ever used Urban Decay mascara before but this month I decided to try the Perversion Mascara which I have in a sample size.  One of its main selling points is that it doesn’t cause clumps or brittle lashes, which I have to agree with.  I’ve been really impressed by this mascara and found my lashes looking healthy, with little clumping even when applying a couple of layers.

2. Maybelline Colour Tattoo

With being on holiday and very busy with work, I have wanted to have pretty eye makeup in as short of time as possible…the solution…Maybelline Colour Tattoo in ‘Pink Gold’ 65.  I love this cream shadow, applying it after a transition shade and before a deeper shade in the outer corner.  The shadow is long-lasting and maintains it sheen perfectly.

3. NYX Dark Circle Concealer Correcteur

To quickly brighten my under eyes, this salmon coloured corrector is perfect.  I apply before foundation and concealer to look more awake than I really am!

4 & 5. Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner with YSL Rouge Volupé lipstick

My fourth and fifth favourites are a lip combination that I have been loving.  With being on holiday I have wanted a long-lasting lip for the evenings that wasn’t drying.  I found this by first using Rimmel Exaggerate Full Colour Lip Liner in 018 ‘Addiction’ all over my lip and placing YSL Rouge Volupté in colour 8 ‘Pink in Confidence’ on top.  As you can see below this produces a lovely deep pink toned nude with a classy sheen.  It feels so comfortable on the lips!

My one non-makeup / skin care favourite this month has been the series House.  I can’t believe I have never watched this before but it means that I can binge on all eight seasons on Netflix.  I’m currently enjoying series 3 so I have a lot more to watch.
