With the dark mornings and often frost on the car windscreen, autumn is well and truly here, with winter coming soon. As soon as autumn comes I love pulling out the autumnal and sometime vampy lip colours. Over the last couple of months I have been trying out a couple of Nyx Autumnal lipsticks. I have used both products a lot so today I’m going to tell you my point of view.
NYX Liquid Suede in 04 Soft-Spoken
This warm nude is a fantastic shade for autumn, being great for an every day colour and for dressing up. I recently wore this lipstick to a wedding and it was a brilliant choice. The product is long lasting but not drying on the lips, this could be due to it containing both avocado oil and vitamin E. It reapplies beautifully. Although I did use a lipliner for the wedding, I have often wore this without one and it still stays in place. I must say that it doesn’t dry down quickly and over time it still will leave a little mark on your glass, however this is pretty minimal. I have been really impressed by this and would definitely recommend this for anyone.

Out of 5 I would give this lippie 4.8 out of 5 – a big thumbs up!!
NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in 20 Copenhagen
This lip product is creamy and feels so nice on the lips. This colour is a deep berry tone however it isn’t as dark on the lips as the container would lead you to believe. I love the colour and for such a dark shade is quite good at not smudging, although not perfect. I did find the colour a little uneven to apply, although if you take time in application you will be able to make it even.
The product drys down quite well, not 100% but impressively for the cream formula. It also is quite long wearing which is always a plus! Overall I do like this product but I’m definitely more of a fan of the Liquid Suede!
I’d give this product 4 out of 5.
